RSVP for a June Summit

At the summits, participants will build on the work of the regional meeting groups by continuing to identify priorities and make choices to inform policy recommendations. However, we will be adding a new dimension to the summits: accountability! The summits will feature a new version of Backseat Budgeter (click here for 9News story) that will include TBD Colorado options in an interactive simulation of the state budget. This award-winning public service tool presented by Engaged Public allows users to learn about state expenditures and revenues and to make choices about what they would like to see. By the end of the summit, participants will have had a chance to review new TBD Colorado options, including their proposed project cost or revenue, and will be required to create a balanced budget. They will also have to contend with the same set of Constitutional requirements as lawmakers.
