The amount Colorado spends on CSAP/TCAPs varies by year and grade level. One study, prepared on behalf of the Piton Foundation and the Donnell-Kay Foundation, found that Colorado spent an average of $52.43 per year per pupil (grades 3-10) using data from 2005, which was about $25 Million (click here to read this study). Another more recent estimate provided by the Colorado Department of Education stated that in FY 2009-2010 it cost about $10 per assessment or $16 Million over the course of the year (click here to read this report).
